Following on from an increasingly strong selection of singles (including recent downbeat cuts ‘Belong’, ‘Bleed’ and ‘Melt’), the ever-mysterious London-based duo, TENDER, have just unveiled their latest electro-soul earworm ‘Afternoon’. It’s an 80s-infused, Drive OST-inspired piece of sultry and forsaken noir pop characterised by glistening vocals fluttering through the air like a delicate film over quivering atmospheric synths chords and a thick slab of pulsing bass weight. We’ve always thought TENDER were ones to watch and ‘Afternoon’ only cements our belief.
